History:
Susan was born in Kent, Ohio to loving parents. She was an only child and her parents showered her with love and attention, but they also instilled in her a sense of independence and self-assurance. Her parents were professors at Kent State University, so when it came time for college, that was where she chose to attend. After she graduated with a computer science degree, she worked in the computer department. When the plague hit, she cared for her parents until their deaths. As she was leaving Kent she met another woman named Rachel Carmody. They were traveling south to Columbus, Ohio to search for some of Rachel's family, when they were ambushed and abducted by the "zoo keepers". Rachel was killed soon after.
